Who Are WeAnne and Faan Oosthuizen are both Namibian born children of pioneering ancestry with deep rooted affinity for Africa in general, and Namibia in particular. We have grown up in the African bush on working cattle farms in central Namibia and had met each other at a breeding stock bull auction in September of 1990, soon after which we got married. Janus and Carissa are our two lovely children who have naturally grown up in the bush as a result of the adventurous spirits of their parents. Faan I have spent most of my adult life in the bush as an avid adventure seeker, a substantial part of which had been as a career soldier during the bush war in Angola, Zambia and northern Namibia. I have gained intricate knowledge of survival bush craft, tracking of dangerous wildlife, navigation without instruments and leading people on adventurous expeditions. Anne Anne, a qualified teacher majoring in Geography and Latin, is the person behind the scenes who does all the menu planning and provides back up whenever an expedition is underway. Janus and Carissa Our two bush kids are currently at school but prefer to rather be out there in the bush whenever the opportunity crops up. What Do We DoTogether we as a family have been doing adventure treks, mountain bike rides, sea kayak trips, abseiling adventure and wildlife adventures for any size groups for the past 10 years in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, South-Africa and Lesotho. We have the logistical and managerial ability to accommodate groups of more than a 100 participants at any time of year. Janus and Carissa accompanied most of the adventure expeditions during the first five or six years of their lives whilst they were home schooled by Anne, but now attend a regular school now that their bush schooling days are done.
